Sorry you feel that way my friend. But I am not offended at all. If I have said anything that offends you I am sorry for sure. I was just pointing out how that sin brings on the death penalty as according to Romans 3:23. I was trying to make you aware of a person CAN NOT sin and get by with it.

I truly believe that killing your wife is a sin, whether a person is convicted or knows it is wrong!
I truly believe that setting fire to the whole 3rd grade class at school horribly burning all the children, is a sin, whether a person is convicted or knows it is wrong!
I truly believe that cutting into pieces the Pastor at church and eating him as you roast his wife on a fire pit, is a sin, whether a person is convicted or knows it is wrong!

I truly believe all of those things are death penalty sins no matter if a person says his conscience did not bother him or no matter that he had never heard they were wrong.

That was all I was trying to say.

How did that offend you?

And you expect us to believe your posts are ? ? ?

You wrote; "A brother offended is harder to be won then a strong city and their contentions are like the bars of a castle." proverbs 17:14. . . .WRONG. . . . That's Proverbs 18:19.

If your going to quote Scripture to show you wisdom, at least get it right.

Proverbs 17: 14, The beginning of strife is as when one letteth out water: therefore leave off contention, before it be meddled with.
Maybe you need to carefully consider who your dressing down after all, it is HIS BOARD.

Galatians 4: 16, Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?

1 Cor. 8:11;
And because of your knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died?

Who committed the greater sin? You, because of your knowledge that allows you freedom in Christ.
Or the weak brother in Christ who goes against his conscience and the inward witness to do something that condemns him,
because its not of faith.????

Hi Bibleman,

I want to apologize again for my attitude & accusations. And I also want to apologize to anyone whom I may have offended that has read these posts.

As far as the subject on eternal security, I will continue to get in the Word and let the Holy Spirit be my teacher.

No apology necessary!

This board is devoted to Bible discussion. Sometimes people agree and sometimes they do not.

No problem at all!

And yes, we would all do well to "get in the Word and let the Holy Spirit be "our" teacher."

Reverend Dake answering a person on these kind of issues said as i recall...

if you just give even half an effort ...God will help you.

but if you think you are going to persist in mischief and misbehave

you are in trouble and you will be in trouble ...now don't you get mad at me now.i will meet you at the Judgement.

Here are some points brought out so far from these posts that has raised a question in my mind:

1) There are certain scriptures in Dake's God Plan for Man that he has listed as death penalty sins.
2) It was posted that not all sins are the same.
3) Romans 6:23 "The wages of sin is death".

To me the logical question from these 3 points is: What sin(s) can be committed that are not on the list of scriptures listed as death penalty sins and not incur the death penalty if not confessed and repented of?

Here is one I can think of....

We have a gift to ministry to children in the nursery!

1) We do not ministry to children in the nursery - We sin against ourselves in not doing what our gift enables us to do.
2) We do not ministry to children in the nursery - We sin against the children that we could have ministered to.
3) We do not ministry to children in the nursery - We sin against God who gave us the gift to use for His glory.

But it is NOT a death penalty sin.

At the Judgement Seat of Christ we will be judged and we will loose rewards but not our soul.

That particular sin will be burned up as wood, hay and stubble.

1 Corinthians 3:12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. (KJV)

Does that make it a little more understandable?
