Is this the final key? Ignore preacher/teacher that still sins, no matter how rarely?

This Demonic Rubbish: Discerning the False Teachers from the True
James 4:17 New Living Translation
Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.

Their sin has cost them the ability to meet the "blameless" requirement of a true bishop or deacon. (1 Tim 3:2)
Repentance is available to them, but they have forfeited their "office".

Would this repentance require a fresh water baptism?

That would depend on whether or not the sinner was already in "the" church ? (As opposed by being in some other church that was false.)Spiritblade Disciple wrote: ↑Thu Apr 11, 2024 6:42 pmWould this repentance require a fresh water baptism?
If he came to us from the outside, we would baptize them in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.
If he was already a supposed member of our congregation, his chance has been used up.
It is written..." For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame." (Heb 6:4-6)
Would you baptize them again ?

I don't believe another baptism would be necessary.Hill Top wrote: ↑Thu Apr 11, 2024 10:11 pmThat would depend on whether or not the sinner was already in "the" church ? (As opposed by being in some other church that was false.)

Regarding "his chance" being "used up..."
Would you have restored the fornicator who had his father's wife, in Corinth?
- See 1st Corinthians 5:1-13 and 2nd Corinthians 2:3-11.

Yes, hoping this repentance from sin is real.Spiritblade Disciple wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2024 8:08 amRegarding "his chance" being "used up..."

Are you saying that water baptism is crucifying the Son of God?

Just to be certain I'm understanding you...
If this had been your church and it was discovered that a baptized member of the church was found to be fornicating with his father's wife and you kicked him out, he can be restored to full membership in your church without being baptized, again?

It is the "crucifying to ourselves" the Son of God.Spiritblade Disciple wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2024 2:01 amSpiritblade Disciple wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2024 8:08 amI don't believe another baptism would be necessary. Are you saying that water baptism is crucifying the Son of God?

He must, however, repent of his sin.
