Not all all... read my response concerning the fact that the Father is in fact the father of Christ. I even gave you Clarke's position that states the same with the Holy Spirit being the power that brought it about.Grandfather wrote: ↑Sat May 29, 2021 8:43 pmPerhaps you are correct. But when I state an opinion I will call it opinion. When I assert something as factual I will support it with evidence. I have never asserted something as fact then run away when confronted with scripture that points to a different conclusion.bibleman wrote: ↑Sat May 29, 2021 6:39 pmIf you don't want to state who you think the Father of Jesus is... then don't.Grandfather wrote: ↑Sat May 29, 2021 6:21 pmMy position is not in question, yours is. All I am asking is that you defend your position in light of scripture.
Of course you can always admit it is merely your opinion and you have no defense in light of the scriptures I referenced.
This is a discussion board and you can't just throw out all of this junk that you do and then step back and say you don't believe it.
It is this kind of attitude that causes people to NOT want to interact with you.
You made such a claim but in light of the plain reading (a phrase you like to use) of Matt 1 it is difficult to support that claim. But rather that acknowledging that difficult you are attempting to dodge the question and shift the focus.
You have not given us your belief in the Father being the father of Christ, that I recall.
