It is Sunday - Be a REAL Christian and go to Church!

Post by bibleman »

It is Sunday today on the East Coast of the USA.

That means it is Church day.

I hope everybody is planning on honoring Christ Church which He started about 2,000 years ago now! It is the ONLY thing you and I can count on that Hell will not and cannot defeat! Matthew 16:18 ...I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

And as the days on Earth get worse and worse Paul tells us to NOT forsaking assembling ourselves together. Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Following the trend language of the world these days I think I would say that REAL Christians go to church and FAKE Christians stay home!

Be a REAL Christian and go to Church!

Sorry for your problems with family.

But if you would round them up and take them to church I am sure things would be much better.

Never give up on God in the midst of difficulties.

Sorry to see you had issues with your family. Those can be the worse challenges of all and good that you were there to intervene. Often times we have thoughts of what needs to be done, but the family wants no part of it. There are times when you have to let it go which can be the most difficult of all. Hope they get things worked out and stabilized so there can be peace. Ph 4:8

What church? There are tons of good churches you can go to! Are there NO Assembly of God Churches around you? No Church of God's? No Foursquare? No Pentecostal Holiness? No Word of Faith? No Charismatic? Are you saying that the gates of Hell have prevailed against the church in your area?

What shall we do? Find a good church and get committed and be discipled sitting under the teaching of the Word.

Until you do you will never overcome your problems that you and your family face.

Not a problem at all Billy. Find a good church and get in it and be devoted to God and submit to godly leadership.

Church is saints having fellowship, loving each other, worshiping and praying to God, the body of Christ doing a His work. I was kicked out of a church 20 years ago as I questioned their wrong teachings. Then God called me to start up a local church with my wife and one or two brothers and sisters. I think most people here are equipped with a lot of knowledge in the Bible, if you cannot find a good church nearby, just start one up yourself.

Real Christians gather together worship, pray, sing songs of praise and worship. Where does Jesus, Peter, Paul, or any apostle tell us to go to “church”? We are told:

19 Brothers and sisters, we have confidence that we can enter the holy of holies by means of Jesus’ blood, 20 through a new and living way that he opened up for us through the curtain, which is his body, 21 and we have a great high priest over God’s house.

22 Therefore, let’s draw near with a genuine heart with the certainty that our faith gives us, since our hearts are sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies are washed with pure water.

23 Let’s hold on to the confession of our hope without wavering, because the one who made the promises is reliable.

24 And let us consider each other carefully for the purpose of sparking love and good deeds. 25 Don’t stop meeting together with other believers, which some people have gotten into the habit of doing. Instead, encourage each other, especially as you see the day drawing near. Hebrews 10:19-25 CEB

If the “church” you go to fits this definition, great. If not, if it’s more interested in building projects, numbers for the sake of numbers, reputation, best preacher, most interesting sermons, youth programs, or anything else that is the number one priority or emphasis then why go there?
