I agree with you and also for me, I have a problem with those that use smooth words and fair speeches to raise money. So many out there today are primarily built around greed for the almighty dollar. I am not advocating that it is wrong to have lots of money, it is all in how it is handled.

The figures for some of the churches are astounding. If one researches what the mega churches' financial takes are, you can hardly add the numbers! The numbers are jaw dropping.

For example, it is said that Osteen's church rakes in around 70 million annually, yet Osteen is not the richest pastor. You suppose they will open up some of those temple granaries (sp?) to help the needy? No, I guess not. They probably have not read much of the New Testament yet :shocked!: .

I read somewhere there is a nigerian pastor that is the wealthiest pastor in the world. I cannot remember the name or the amount, but it was incredible. The sheeples pour in by the droves and throw their hard earned cash at them while they smooth talk their doctrines of persuasion.

I did not save the links. All I did was a google search. You do have to weed through the links that are bull. Many churches post their financials and others do not. You can always find the info if they are a government 501c allocation.

Furtick down in Carolina does not post his salary, but the church post their revenue. There is a lot of controversy around his 1.7 million dollar home (gift from God). He was investigated as there is some cloudiness around the disclosure of the finances and the guy doing them. Furtick's churches total revenue for 2016 was just shy of 50 million. http://elevationchurch.org/annual-report-2016/

There are analysis on attendances of churches too. They differ some but one can get the idea. For instance they estimate Osteen's church at around 43k a week and say it is the largest, but some analysis show different stats such as life church at 53k a week. Not sure how accurate but Wikipedia has some interesting info. Some of the analysis is from older records a few years old. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_m ... ted_States
