If any of the readers could answer a couple of questions in regards to this post it would be appreciated:

1) Dake lists scriptures that he lists as some of the death penalty sins that incur the death penalty if not confessed and repented of but he does not specifically say which one and I have not received a specific answer from this post yet. I have only been shown the scripture references. If someone could list the specific sins and not just the references that would be helpful.

2) From the responses on this post if a person commits one of these death penalty sins (whatever they are) one time and does not confess and repent of them before death that person is eternally doomed. Even if a new convert would commit that sin without having their mind renewed because of not be taught or not having there conscience convicted of it. Lets say a person who has a history of lying gets saved. After getting save goes right out and then commits a lie(but has not been taught or been convicted yet that that is wrong) and then the same hour dies in a car accident. And then because of that one lie that was not confessed and repented of would be forced to go to hell. Because Rev. 21:8 says all liars are thrown into the lake of fire. Am I missing something or is that indeed what Dake is teaching? Because after reading response so far that is the conclusion that I come away with. Lying is just one example of many of these so called death penalty sins that a new believer may not be aware of right away.

With the Scriptures that you previously quoted from dake as ones that incur the death penalty there is quite a list which a new convert may have not read or been convicted of as sin. For example: if a new convert has a history of lying (which falls under the Scriptures that you have quoted as incurring the death penalty) and he lies after being converted but does not realize right away that that is sin and then dies is he eternally lost? I am just using lying as an example but there are a number of what you and dake consider death penalty sins from your quoted Scriptures that a new convert may not realize as sin right away and if they sin and die right after that without knowing better do they incur the death penalty? This is not my original vein of questioning, but this is where your questioning has taken our discussion so I am respectfully responding.

Hi,

Above you said: "I am just using lying as an example but there are a number of what you and dake consider death penalty sins from your quoted Scriptures that a new convert may not realize as sin right away and if they sin and die right after that without knowing better do they incur the death penalty?"

What does "knowing" about a sin or being "convicted" of a sin have to do with it being sin or not?

Suppose a visitor from another country arrived and I said: "I just killed my neighbor, set their children on fire, and carved up and ate the police office that came to arrest me."

Just because they did not know those things were sins.... does that mean that God does not hold people accountable for their sins?

Would you please list specifically all the death penalty sins and not just the scriptural references?

If you have a Bible software program or go online and just punch in the Scripture references you can see them very easily.

Here is some of them Dake gave them here: "Gal. 5:19-21; Rom. 1:29-32; 1 Cor. 6:9-11; Mk. 7:19-21."

Basically it is any sin that the NT states that we are worthy of death or will not inherit the kingdom of God or such like.

Bibleman do you believe if a new believer lies and dies without confession and repentance he or she is going to hell?

Thanks

I will answer that with this question...

"do you believe if a new believer murders someone and dies without confession and repentance he or she is going to hell?"

It depends on if it was premeditated and if there was anytime to confess and repent after the murder. Now would you please answer my question without dodging it. I think that is only fair.

Here is what I believe no matter who it is!

Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

ALSO - How can you MURDER someone and it NOT be premeditated?

Do you believe that all of the death penalty sins (not just murder) require prmeditation in order to incur the death penalty once committed? Please do not answer the question with a question.

Hi Bibleman

I want to answer your question about what other types of murders there are besides premeditated. I'm no expert on criminal law but I am aware of a couple of others:

1) Involuntary manslaughter - which is not premeditated but unlawful. Ex) Moses killing the Egyptian or a man walks in on his wife committing adultery chokes the guy and he dies.

2) Self-defense

According to crimianl law degrees of punishment if any depends alot on person's state of mind prior and during the incident plus circumstances around it.
I would appreciate an answer to my last question when you can get around to it. It would be helpful to clarify things regarding our discussion up to this point. Thanks.
