My daddy taught me that the only good snake was a snake in three pieces. He then taught me how to make a three piece snake with a hoe.

Since then I when I see a snake I get a hoe and make a three piece snake. Never had a problem with them.

We've handled a few snakes in our church from time to time. We get people who come to our church crawling around causing problems, hissing at what is being taught from the pulpit, spreading venemous lies and gossip.

But I suppose this thread is in reference to actual reptilian animals and not the people I am thinking about having dealt with in the past.

If you are in the woods camping at night or you slip and fall down the hill during the daytime, a snake bites you by accident. Of course, you could use the name of Jesus Christ but still get emergency room attention a.s.a.p. If you are healed on Jesus Christ's Name then that is great and if you are not healed but get immediate first aid/emergency room care. That is great too.

I have seen churches that plays with snakes. As a Deaf person who grew up in the South, I am scared to death of snakes because I can not hear the rattle of a snake and what if I walked by one and got bitten either at church or in the woods. No thanks.

There are better ways to obey God's Gospel through the cooperation & help of the Holy Spirit.
