Re: Restoring a Fornicator to Full Church Membership
There shouldn't be a delay, but that is what we would have seen if the adulterer in Corinth had repented. Or any of those Paul had noted were now gone from the church. I really can't think of anyone in the bible coming back after having committed a sin, in the NT, so I really don't have any example...

Re: Restoring a Fornicator to Full Church Membership
Interesting.
I didn't realize that you believed that there could be a time delay between being water baptized and discontinuing the practice of any and all sins.
Very interesting.

Re: Restoring a Fornicator to Full Church Membership
Just to be certain I'm understanding you... If this had been your church and it was discovered that a baptized member of the church was found to be fornicating with his father's wife and you kicked him out, he can be restored to full membership in your church without being baptized, again? Exactly....

Hill Top,
Do you know of any books that you would recommend that expound on the teachings of your church in an accurate manner?

Re: Question: Who on this board believes they are divine?
Do you think that it might be possible that the reason that was asked was because that was the capital offense? Asking because Dake, at times, differentiates between death penalty and non-death penalty sins. Perhaps, failure to guard and protect the garden was not the capital offense, even if it was...

Re: Question: Who on this board believes they are divine?
Why do you believe that Dake didn't believe that Adam's failure to "keep" the garden was sinful?
The mark was set. Dress and keep the garden. Adam failed.
Isn't sin missing the mark?

Re: Restoring a Fornicator to Full Church Membership
Regarding "his chance" being "used up..." Would you have restored the fornicator who had his father's wife, in Corinth? - See 1st Corinthians 5:1-13 and 2nd Corinthians 2:3-11. Yes, hoping this repentance from sin is real. Just to be certain I'm understanding you... If this had been your church and...
